Matthew Myjak, Founder of Entitled Refunds, is dedicated to helping homeowners ensure that their property tax is fairly paid.
A licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Matt is a computer science geek and entrepreneur at heart who loves helping people and problem solving. After spending nearly a decade as an accounting expert split between one of the largest accounting firms in the world and Northwestern University, Matt is using the analytical, financial, and technical skills he mastered to help homeowners correct and lower property tax.
Matt’s property tax quest began after discovering that family and friends were commonly missing out on benefits called exemptions. He responded by helping them either verify exemptions were not missed or making it simple to get their money back.
Matt’s desire to serve homeowners grew and Entitled was launched. Focusing on correcting homestead homeowner exemptions, instead of appeals and what most professionals offer, Matt is excited to provide additional opportunity for homeowners. He is proud that Entitled’s approach, only charging if and after a refund is received, guarantees satisfaction for homeowners and makes the service easily accessible to everyone.
Matt is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, with majors in Accounting, Finance, and Real Estate and minors in Computer Science and Sociology.
